New Aesthetic is a collection of independent type design, founded by Leonhard Laupichler and Sophia Brinkgerd. The book approaches type design as an opportunity to create art: looking at type design with a benevolence to experiments and processes, and finding potential in the unusual, that might point into a new future of practicing visual communication.
Being the art directors behind Sorry Press, we created a bold and significant look throughout the book. The layout is subtle yet strong and lets the artworks stand out. Easy to overview and based on listed alphabets, this book can be used as both an inspiration book and a work tool.
